The Columbia men's cross country team took second place in the competitive Greater Louisville Classic on Sept. 29. With four runners in the top 25, Columbia defeated big conference schools including Georgia, Missouri, Texas, and host Louisville!

Columbia volleyball went 7-3 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play during the month of September. The Lions opened the 2012 home season with five consecutive wins, beginning with a sweep of their own Columbia Invitational.

First-year Atlanta Moye-McLaren was named Ivy League Player and Co-Rookie of the Week in addition to the Most Valuable Player in the Lions' own Columbia invitational after identical 10-kill, 13-dig performances in wins over Hofstra and Rhode Island!

For the first time since 2005, the Columbia women's cross country team moved into the latest National USTFCCCA poll at No. 24, on Sept. 22. The Lions placed third in the Toledo Bubble Buster on Sept. 21, finishing ahead of then four ranked teams!
