The Columbia men's cross country team took second place in the competitive Greater Louisville Classic on Sept. 29. With four runners in the top 25, Columbia defeated big conference schools including Georgia, Missouri, Texas, and host Louisville!
Senior Leighton Spencer posted a great start to the season winning the men's individual title at the Vermont Invitational on Sep. 9, with a time of 24:50.2.
Columbia volleyball went 7-3 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play during the month of September. The Lions opened the 2012 home season with five consecutive wins, beginning with a sweep of their own Columbia Invitational.

First-year Atlanta Moye-McLaren was named Ivy League Player and Co-Rookie of the Week in addition to the Most Valuable Player in the Lions' own Columbia invitational after identical 10-kill, 13-dig performances in wins over Hofstra and Rhode Island!

The Columbia men's soccer team shutout Manhattan, 2-0 on Sept. 5 and topped St. Peter's 2-1 at home Sept. 12!

First-year goalie Kyle Jackson earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors Sept. 10 after making six saves and allowing zero goals in 90 total minutes against Manhattan and Monmouth!

For the first time since 2005, the Columbia women's cross country team moved into the latest National USTFCCCA poll at No. 24, on Sept. 22. The Lions placed third in the Toledo Bubble Buster on Sept. 21, finishing ahead of then four ranked teams!
Sophomore Waverly Neer led the Lions with an individual title winning time of 17:41.1 at the Vermont Invitational on Sept. 9!
The Columbia women’s soccer team leads the Ivy League with five shutouts. Two of those have come against Cornell and Brown to make Columbia only one of three teams unblemished (2-0) in conference!

Sophomore Grace Redmon was the Ivy League Player of the Week after shutting out Brown on Sept. 29. She recorded three straight shutouts against Fordham (9/14), Marist (9/16) and Cornell (9/21)!
