The Lions will welcome six squads to the Baker Athletics Complex
The Lions were edged only by Brown and were one of 74 schools recognized. To earn the accolade, a team must finish the 2017 fall semester with a cumulative GPA above 3.0.
The Columbia field hockey spring clinic and 7v7 tournament will be held on Sunday, April 15 at the Baker Athletics Complex.

Doherty becomes just the third Lion to earn All-Region accolades three times, joining Gabby Kozlowski '13CC and Christina Freibott '16CC.
Maeve Doherty picked up a first-team selection, while Katie Dempsey and Jennifer Trieschman, who earned second team and honorable mention status, respectively.

Katie Dempsey made a career-high 15 saves as the Lions complete the 2017 campaign with a 9-8 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Ivy League play.

The Lions will host the nationally-ranked Crimson Sunday on Senior Day.


It all started with a wooden stick when she was five years old. Rebecca Pope has been playing field hockey since she can remember: From junior school to high school and now at Columbia.


Columbia trailed by two in the second half, but rallied to take a 4-3 lead before the Bulldogs' (8-7, 1-5) Bridget Condie scored with 45 seconds left in regulation to knot things up.

The Lions will look to clinch a winning season when they welcome the Bulldogs to the Baker Athletics Complex Saturday.


The Lions (8-7) took the lead five minutes in and never looked back as they picked up their fifth home victory and third shutout of the season.

The Big Green's (6-8, 2-3) Tatum Schultz evened things up at 2-2 in the 55th minute after Katie Spanos feed. In the 77th minute, Taylor Hantman ended things off a scramble play following a corner and two initial shots blocked.
