Providence, R.I. In the final road Ivy League dual-meet of the season, the Columbia women's swimming & diving were edged by Brown 153-147 on Saturday, Jan. 20. In a meet that came down to wire, the Lions put together several of impressive wins throughout the afternoon.

Princeton, N.J. An Ivy League dual-meet against Princeton wrapped the 2017 calendar year for the Columbia women's swimming & diving team on Friday, Dec. 8 at DeNunzio Pool. The Tigers won 12 of 16 events to down the Lions 195-105. Despite the loss, Columbia saw a few impressive performances from its young and veteran swimmers.

Columbus, Ohio - Julia Samson capped the Lions showings at the USA Swimming Winter National Championships on Saturday, Dec.2 with an impressive 'B' finals qualifying swim in the 200 backstroke. Samson clocked in with a time of 1:58.47, 11th best in the heat.

Wojdylo Competes In 100 Breast Finals At Winter Nationals

Helen Wojdylo highlighted the third day of the USA Swimming Winter National Championships for Columbia on Friday, Dec.1 with her preformances in the 100 breastroke. Wojdylo clocked in with a finals qulaifying time of 1:02.43 in the morning prelims, followed by a fifth-place finish in her finals heat with a time of 1:02.44.

Columbus, Ohio - On the second day of the USA Swimming Winter National Championships, a pair of Lions competed on the national stage at Ohio State University's McCorkle Aquatic Pavillion amongst some of the biggest names in the sport. Mary Ashby clocked in with a time of 23.48 in the 50 freestyle to highlight the day with the 34th-best time in a 43 swimmer field in the morning prelims.

Columbia Finishes Third At Frank Elm Invitational

Piscataway, N.J. - With a combined score of 1229.5 points, the Columbia women's swimming & diving team placed third in a 14-team field at the Rutgers Frank Elm Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 19. The Lions were impressive all weekend long at the Werblin Recreation Center, highlighted by a record pefromance in the 200 Free Relay. The foursome of Susie Zhu, Mary Ashby, Kathleen O'Rourke and Jessica He combined for a winning time of 1:31.95 to set a new Rutger's pool record.
