Eight Earn Football All-Ivy League Honors

Eight Columbia football players earned All-Ivy League honors led by two First Team selections in senior Gianmarco Rea and freshman placekicker Oren Milstein, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. The All-Ivy League Team is picked by the conference's eight football coaches.

Football Wins Season Finale, 31-13 Over Brown

Junior Anders Hill threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns, freshman Josh Wainwright caught two touchdown passes and totaled a career-high 150 receiving yards and senior Alan Watson ran for a career-high 158 yards as Columbia held off Brown for a 31-13 win in its final game Saturday at Brown Stadium.

Ronald Smith Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Columbia freshman wide receiver Ronald Smith II was named the Ivy League's Football Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced this afternoon. Smith becomes Columbia's third Ivy League Rookie of the Week honoree this year as freshman placekicker Oren Milstein earned the honor two different times on Oct. 10 and Oct. 24.

Cornell Claims Empire State Bowl With 42-40 Win Over Columbia

Chris Walker rushed for three touchdowns and a career-high 230 yards and quarterback Dalton Banks threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns to lead Cornell to a high scoring 42-40 win over Columbia in the 104th annual Empire State Bowl Saturday at Robert K. Kraft Field.

An Officer and a Lion: Joseph Leeman

This Veterans Day held a little extra meaning to the Columbia football team this year. Earlier in the fall, the Lions welcomed a walk-on, Joseph Leeman, a former sergeant in the United States Marine Corps who had just wrapped up a three-year stint overseas in August. Leeman served overseas for nearly three years and earned the Marine of the Quarter Award, a competitive testament of the Marine's superior professional performance, strength of character, exemplary attitude and devotion to duty.

Two Football Players Named Academic All-District

Football to Host Cornell in Empire State Bowl on Saturday

Columbia (2-6, 1-4 Ivy League) hosts Cornell (3-5, 1-4 Ivy League) for the 104th annual Empire State Bowl Game Presented by New York Presbyterian on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium at Robert K. Kraft Field. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET. The two teams will play for the right to take possession of the Empire Cup. The rivaly began in 1889.

No. 22 Harvard Holds Off Columbia, 28-21

No. 22 ranked Harvard scored 21 points off three Columbia third quarter fumbles and held off the Lions to register a 28-21 football win Saturday afternoon at Harvard Stadium.

Yale Holds Off Columbia Football 31-23

Yale took advantage of five Columbia turnovers, used a 152-yard, three-touchdown passing performance from backup freshman quarterback Kurt Rawlings and held off a late Lion comeback to register a 31-23 win Friday night at Robert K. Kraft Field.
