Women's Golf Announces 2017 Signing Class

Columbia women's golf coach Amy Weeks officially announced the program's 2017 recruiting class on Friday. Columbia will welcome three golfers to the 2017-18 team including Kim Chiang, Katie Lee and Qingyi Symba Xu.

Four Women's Golfers Honored as WGCA All-American Scholars

Four Columbia women's golfers—senior Jackie Chulya, junior Nancy Xu, senior Rachel Shi and first-year Emily Chu—were honored as prestigious All-American Scholars released on Wednesday by the Women's Collegiate Golf Association. The WGCA's minimum requirement for the award is a 3.50 grade point average.

Golf Programs Sign Agreement With Haworth Country Club

The Columbia Golf Program has signed an agreement with Haworth Country Club as one of its home practice venues, Director of Golf Rich Mueller and Women's Golf Coach Amy Weeks announced on Wednesday afternoon. Haworth will allow the Columbia men's and women's golf programs an additional practice facility as well as the opportunity to host annual collegiate tournaments, an alumni, friends and family tournament, along with golf camps.

First-year Ridhima Dilawari became Columbia's first-ever Ivy League Rookie of the Year recipient and senior Jackie Chulya claimed her third consecutive All-Ivy League honor as the conference released its 2017 women's golf awards on Tuesday. The awards were voted upon by the league's seven coaches.

Senior Jackie Chulya finished in fifth place (+10) and first-year Ridhima Dilawari (+15) placed ninth to lead the Columbia women's golf team to a third place finish in the 2017 Ivy League Golf Championship Sunday at Orange Tree Golf Club. Throughout the three-day weekend, Columbia improved with each round, moving from fifth place to third place with a 319-306-301-926 (+62).

On day two of the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, Columbia was led by senior Jackie Chulya, who shot a course-low 73 (+1) and is now in eighth place and first-year Ridhima Dilawari, who fired a 75 (+3) and enters Sunday's final round in 16th place. Fueled by those two performances, Columbia moved up one position into fourth place in the team competition with a 319-306-625 (+49).

Senior Rachel Shi and junior Nancy Xu led the Columbia women's golf team on day one at the Ivy League Championship Friday as both carded a six-over-par 78 to tie for 15th place heading into Saturday's action. Columbia finds itself in fifth place after shooting a 319 (+31) through the first 18 holes at Orange Tree Golf Club.

Emily Chu Finishes Hoya Invite in Fifth Place

Three Columbia golfers—first-year Emily Chu (fifth at +8), senior Jackie Chulya (13th at +10) and junior Nancy Xu (25th at +15)—placed among the field's top-25 at the 12th annual Hoya Invitational Tuesday at Four Streams Golf Course. As a team, Columbia concluded the tournament in seventh place out of 15 teams at plus-53, finishing with a 305-308-304-613.

Senior Jackie Chulya and first-year Emily Chu both sit in 11th place after shooting a six-over-par 150 during day one of the 12th annual Hoya Invitational Monday at Four Streams Golf Course. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.

The Columbia women's golf team is one of five Ivy League schools competing at the 12th annual Hoya Invitational held Monday and Tuesday at the Four Streams Golf Course. The 54-hole Hoya Invitational will be played on the challenging par-72, 6,127-yard Four Streams course.
