

The Columbia softball team (17-17, 9-6 Ivy) celebrates the careers of its senior class this weekend when it hosts Princeton (8-22, 6-6 Ivy) for a three-game series. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by the series finale and Senior Day on Sunday, also at 12:30 p.m.

The Lions used a five-run fifth inning in game two of a doubleheader to earn a split against Harvard Friday. The Lions and Crimson will now meet in the rubber-game Saturday at 2 p.m.

Due to expected inclement weather conditions, Columbia's doubleheader against Harvard at Columbia University Softball Stadium has been moved to Friday. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader will be at 1 p.m. ET.

A season-high tying four home runs, an eight-run second inning and a two-hit shutout performance by pitcher Erin Gallo proved to be the difference as Columbia softball defeated Saint Peter's 14-0 Thursday at Columbia University Softball Stadium. The win marked Columbia's second shutout victory of the 2018 season.
