Columbia Head Football Coach Al Bagnoli was named the 2017 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association FCS Coach of the Year, the organization announced on Thursday morning. In addition, Columbia senior defensive back Cameron Roane and senior punter Parker Thome were both named to the All-ECAC FCS Second Team.

Three Football Players Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
Three Columbia football student-athletes—senior running back Chris Schroer, junior safety Ryan Gilbert and sophomore offensive lineman Parker Coogan—were named to the College Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-District One Team, the organization announced. Schroer earned the honor for the second consecutive year.
Football Defeats Brown 24-6, Finishes Year 8-2, 5-2 in Ivy
Columbia scored a touchdown on a blocked punt and blocked a season-high three kicks, sophomore wide receiver Josh Wainwright caught a career-high 13 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown and senior quarterback Anders Hill threw for 179 yards and a score as Columbia finished off its 2017 season with a 24-6 win over Brown Saturday at Robert K. Kraft Field. The game also marked the final contest of the 2017 season and the final game for Columbia's 31-member senior class.
Football to Honor 31 Seniors on Saturday
Thirty-one seniors will be honored by Columbia Football in a pre-game ceremony prior to Saturday's season finale against Brown at Robert K. Kraft Field. All 31 seniors contributed to Columbia's success in a variety of ways.
Football to Walk Through on South Lawn Today at 3:15 p.m.
For the final time this year, the Columbia Football Team will host its final walk through on the Columbia University South Lawn this afternoon at 3:15 p.m. ET. The Lions are preparing for tomorrow's season finale and Senior Day at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium against Brown iis at 1 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on SNY and simulcast on the Ivy League Network.

With Ivy League championship implications on the line and in a tie for second place in the Ivy League, Columbia (7-2, 4-2 Ivy League) hosts Brown (2-7, 0-6 Ivy League) for both Senior Day and its final game of the 2017 season on Saturday, Nov. 18. Football Wins Seventh Game, Defeats Cornell 18-8
Senior running back Chris Schroer rushed for a career-high 183 yards and a touchdown, sophomore placekicker Oren Milstein converted a season-high three field goals and the Lions' defense tallied a safety and limited Cornell to eight points as Columbia registered an 18-8 Empire State Bowl win Saturday at Shoellkopf Field.
Football Travels to Cornell for Key Ivy League Contest
In a four-way tie for second place in the Ivy League with identical 3-2 league records, Columbia (6-2, 3-2 Ivy League) travels to Ithaca, N.Y. to play Cornell (3-5, 3-2 Ivy League) in a key Empire State Bowl matchup on Saturday, Nov. 11. Kickoff is at 1:35 p.m. ET at Cornell's Schoellkopf Field.
