Football Hosts 2016 Awards Banquet

Twelve individual awards were presented and a 22-member senior class was honored by Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli as Columbia University and the Columbia Football Players Club hosted its annual football awards banquet Friday evening at Low Library.

Columbia Opens New Indoor Practice Facility, Bubble at Baker

Columbia varsity sports teams now have access to a brand-new indoor winter practice facility as the University officially opened its Seasonal Air-Supported Structure (SASS) at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium, Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education Peter Pilling announced on Friday afternoon.

Football Announces Spring Practice, Spring Game Dates

Columbia Football returns to the gridiron for 12 days of spring practice during the months of March and April and will host its annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 15, Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli announced on Thursday.

Football Celebrates 2016 Season With Friday Awards Banquet

Ivy Football Association Honors Javier Loya

Former Columbia football player Javier Loya was honored by the Ivy Football Association at its bi-annual dinner held Thursday evening at The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Loya, along with representatives of the seven other Ivy League schools were honored by the organization as distinguished graduates.

Gianmarco Rea Named to FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team

Columbia football senior Gianmarco Rea was named to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association All-Star Team, the organization announced on Friday.

Fall Academic All-Ivy League Selections Announced

Five men and five women Columbia University student-athletes were named to the 2016 Fall Academic All-Ivy League Team, league officials announced on Thursday afternoon.

Eight Earn Football All-Ivy League Honors

Eight Columbia football players earned All-Ivy League honors led by two First Team selections in senior Gianmarco Rea and freshman placekicker Oren Milstein, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. The All-Ivy League Team is picked by the conference's eight football coaches.

Football Wins Season Finale, 31-13 Over Brown

Junior Anders Hill threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns, freshman Josh Wainwright caught two touchdown passes and totaled a career-high 150 receiving yards and senior Alan Watson ran for a career-high 158 yards as Columbia held off Brown for a 31-13 win in its final game Saturday at Brown Stadium.

Football Closes 2016 Season Saturday at Brown

Columbia (2-7, 1-5 Ivy League) plays its final game of the 2016 season when it travels to Providence, R.I. to play Brown (4-5, 3-3 Ivy League) for the series' 81st meeting on Saturday, Nov. 19. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. ET at Brown Stadium.

Ronald Smith Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Columbia freshman wide receiver Ronald Smith II was named the Ivy League's Football Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced this afternoon. Smith becomes Columbia's third Ivy League Rookie of the Week honoree this year as freshman placekicker Oren Milstein earned the honor two different times on Oct. 10 and Oct. 24.
