Women's Golf Closes Weekend at Florida State Match-Up

The Columbia women's golf team played the final 18 holes at the highly-competitive Florida State Match-Up Saturday at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course. In a competition which featured seven top-50 nationally ranked teams, Columbia concluded the two-day, 54-hole event in 12th place at +58 (307-309-306-922).

Columbia University has announced a new $100,000 capital gift and the establishment of a $100,000 endowment fund for its varsity men's and women's golf programs to build and maintain a world-class indoor training facility. The total $200,000 capital gift and endowment is made possible through a gift from The R.N.G.S. Foundation, whose principal is a member of the Overseers Committee at Columbia University's Zuckerman Institute Brain Trust.

After shooting a two-over-par 73 on Saturday, Columbia sophomore Ridhima Dilawari moved up 24 spots from 53rd place into 29th place at the Yale Women's Intercollegiate. Columbia, which stands in 12th place at 48-over-par 308-308-616, tees off the final round at 8:30 a.m.

Columbia is one of 15 teams competing at this weekend's Yale Intercollegiate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Course at Yale. The three-day, 54-hole event, played at par-71, 6,007-yard Course at Yale, will feature 18 holes on Friday, 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
