NEW HAVEN, Conn.—Columbia is one of 15 teams competing at this weekend’s Yale Intercollegiate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Course at Yale. The three-day, 54-hole event, played at par-71, 6,007-yard Course at Yale, will feature 18 holes on Friday, 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

 

For the second consecutive invitational, all seven Columbia women’s golfers will compete in the invitational, as five will compete for the Lions while two will compete as individuals. Columbia will tee off at 8:50 a.m. on Friday.

Fifteen teams will compete in the event including Albany, Boston College, Boston U., Bucknell, Charlotte, Columbia, Delaware, Harvard, Lamar, Penn, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Stirling and host Yale.

 

Last year, Columbia claimed the team championship after entering the third day in first place. The third day was postponed due to inclement weather.

 

The weekend’s event marks the third of four tournaments on the Lions’ 2017 fall schedule. Columbia will conclude its fall invitational schedule at the Louisville Cardinal Cup on Oct. 21-22.
