STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – First-year Dan Terrell finished in 18th place with a five-over-par 69-76-73-218 to lead the Columbia men’s golf team at the 42nd annual Penn State Rutherford Intercollegiate Sunday.
Terrell concluded the two-day, 54-hole intercollegiate with the highest individual finish in his career. He moved into 18th place while shooting a two-over-par 73 on Sunday after beginning the day in 24th place through two rounds. His 69 in the first round represented a career-low round score.
Right behind Terrell was first-year Arjun Puri, who finished the event in 27th place with an eight-over-par 72-71-78-221. Showing consistency, Puri was the only Columbia golfer to shoot two par or under-par rounds on Saturday. His 71 in the second round tied a career-low.
Senior Joshua Suh, competing as an individual, ranked third among Columbia golfers in 36th place with a combined 10-over-par 79-67-77-223. His 67 in yesterday’s second round marks the lowest round total for a Columbia golfer this year.
Three other Lions golfers competed this weekend. Sophomore Nick Brisebois completed the event in 54th place after carding a 14-over-par 76-75-76-227, sophomore Cullen Chung finished in 66th place with a 21-over-par 81-78-75-234 and first-year John Robertson ended the weekend in 69th place with a 25-over-par 78-85-75-238.
As a team, Columbia finished the event in 10th place with a combined 42-over-par 295-300-299-894. Host Penn State won the team competition at eight-under-par 280-276-288-844, while Penn State’s Cole Miller (-7, 70-65-71-206) won the individual title.

Columbia was one 12 teams competing in the field including host Penn State, Binghamton, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, Dayton, Georgetown, Loyola, Md., Oakland, Rutgers, Seton Hall and West Virginia.
Next week, the Columbia men’s golf team concludes its season with the Ivy League Championship, scheduled for April 20-22 at Stonewall in Elverson, Pa.
