Luke Kelly joined the Columbia men’s soccer coaching staff in the spring of 2013.
Kelly, a Holliston, Mass. native, played NCAA Division I soccer for two seasons at Boston College (2008-10). During his time with the Eagles, Kelly was honored as an ACC Honor Athlete by the conference office.
During his collegiate career, and since graduating from BC in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in human development, Kelly has been involved in coaching soccer at numerous levels.
From 2008-13, Kelly served as an assistant coach for the New England Football Club, helping lead that team to State Cup Championships in 2010 and 2011. In 2010, he served as the freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach at Holliston High School, while also filling the role of Director of Operations for BC.
In 2011, Kelly took over as the head coaching responsibilities of BC’s club soccer team and he held that position until 2013. Kelly also garnered another year of high school coaching experience in 2012, assisting Ray Pavlik at Concord Carlisle HS. Kelly also coaches at the youth level for Manhattan Soccer Club in New York City.
Kelly also has collegiate soccer work experience as the video coordinator for BC during his first two years at Chestnut Hill. Outside of soccer, Kelly has spent time as a teacher at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Concord Carlisle HS, as well as serving as a teaching assistant at Holderness School and BC.
He earned his master’s of arts in teaching from Mass Art in 2012.
