Josh Osit joined the Columbia coaching staff in the summer of 2014. Osit arrived to Mornigside Heights following two successful years at Rutgers University, a member of the Big 10 conference.  In both seasons, the Scarlet Knights received at-large bids to the NCAA tournament. In 2013, the Scarlet Knights fell to UCF in penalties in the conference final, before facing Big 12 Champion West Virginia in the NCAA tournament. Osit was primarily in charge of the goalkeepers, coaching senior Jess Janosz to the conference tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award.

In addition to his goalkeeper responsibilities, Osit assisted in all facets of the Scarlet Knights program including, scouting, game day strategy, equipment, and camps.

Before his run at Rutgers, Osit was on the sidelines at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. At UMBC, he enhanced the goalkeeper’s knowledge of defensive tactics by running training sessions to prepare team for matches. Osit also aided in the recruitment of goalkeepers and other prospects for the 2012 and 2013 incoming classes.

Osit also coaches two teams at PDA, the #1 ranked club in the country for the past 3 years, and works very closely with the club’s goalkeepers and ECNL teams.

A 2009 graduate from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Osit started his playing career at UMBC before transferring and staring for the Highlanders.

Osit owns a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, as well as being licensed with the United States Soccer Federation.
