Senior (2017-18): Member of the 2018 Ivy League Championship team...One of four team captains during his senior season...Went 12-2 in the regular season with a 6-1 mark in the Ivy League playing primarily in the No. 4 and 5 positions...made first career appearance at CSA Individual Nationals competing in the Molloy South (B Division) on March 2...defeated Amherst's Terrance Wong in the opening round before losing to Rochester's Matthew Toth in the semis.
Junior (2016-17): Was one of four captains in his junior season...Posted a 12-4 overall record with 6-1 Ivy League mark... Competed primarily in the 5 & 6 positions... Won both of his matches in the No. 4 spot against Williams College's Carl Shuck and Cornell's Jack Greenwood... Picked up a win over Drexel's Atticus Kelly at CSA Team Nationals (11-5, 7-11, 11-8, 11-4) in the No. 6 position... Won seven straight matches from Dec. 4- Jan. 29.
Sophomore (2015-16): Posted a 7-5 overall and 5-2 Ivy League record in the middle of Columbia’s lineup...Started off with three straight victories over No. 15 Williams College’s Galen Squiers, No. 9 Franklin and Marshall College’s Jackson McCord, and No. 16 Brown’s Philip Demeulenaere.
First-Year (2014-15): Finished the year with an 11-6 overall and 6-1 Ivy League record…Competed in the No. 7 & 8 positions for the majority of the year.
At Alpharetta: Saleem comes to Columbia as one of the top junior players in the country with a U19 US Squash national ranking of No. 2. Saleem is a two-time winner of the Junior Championship Tour (U15, U17) and a three-time participant of the US/Canadian Battle of the Border competition. He is a model student-athlete having received the US Squash Scholar Athlete Award in 2011 and an AP Scholar with Distinction Award in 2013.
