At McMinnville High School/Sheridan Japanese School: A multi-sport athlete, Topping had great success competing for the McMinnville Grizzlies. A co-captain since 2013, Topping racked up accolades throughout her soccer career, including four varsity letters. In 2014 alone, she was named to the All-League First Team and the Class 6A All-State First Team, as well as garnering All-Valley and All-League Player of the Year honors. She scored 21 goals her senior year, the highest number of goals scored by any boy or girl at MHS. She was the valedictorian as well as a member of National Honor Society. As a member of FC Portland, Topping and her team finished as runner-up at the 2012 U.S. Club Nationals and were the 2014 Oregon State Champions. She was part of the club’s transition into ECNL in 2014. Topping was also a member of Region IV ODP. In addition to soccer, she was co-captain of the Grizzly swim team, earning four varsity letters as a state competitor. Carlisle isn't the first varsity athlete to take the pitch for her family: Sidonie Winfield, Topping’s mother, played for Mount Holyoke.
