NEW YORK – The 2016 season is off to triumphant start for the No.7 Columbia men’s squash team as they swept No.9 Drexel 9-0 on Saturday, Nov.19 at the SL Green StreetSquash Center in the Lions home opener.

"I start off a little nervous because it was the first game of the season but once I settled in everything went really well. He's [Michael Thompson] is really good opponent he's a top Canadian junior and played against him my freshmen year. He's senior as well and I think both of us have grown as players and I think this a better quality match than the match we had freshman year. It's always fun competing against someone you've played before it's like a rivalry." - Rishi Tandon (Senior • India)

"Today especially I really tried to work on putting pressure on my opponent, and I think felt that way today. I was on top of the guy [Josh Hughes] and playing free-flowing squash and that was main focus... I think today was about making a statement to other teams that we are competitors for national titles as well as Ivy League title." - Arhum Saleem (Junior • Alpharetta, Ga.)
