HANOVER, NH – Osama Khalifa will play in the CSA individual championship final tomorrow, after wins in the quarter and semi-finals today.
No. 1 Khalifa began the day with a three set victory over Ahmed Hatata of Bates College in the morning. He then went on to beat No. 2 Trinity's Thoboki Mohohlo in four set to secure his spot in the finals.
Khalifa returns to the championship match for the first time since 2015, when he fell to Bates College's Ahmed Abdel Khalek during Khalifa's freshman campaign.
The junior will play for the title tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. against Rochester's No. 5 ranked Mario Yanez.
Rishi Tandon fought hard in his consolation quarter finals match, forcing Trinity's Michael Craig into five sets, before ultimately losing 3-2.
