PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton's heavyweight varsity eight retained the Childs Cup for the eighth straight time as they knocked off Columbia and Penn Saturday morning on Lake Carnegie.

The Lions placed third in the varsity eight event, clocking in at 6:35.2. The Tigers edged the Quakers by just three seconds to take the trophy for the 50th time in the race's history.

Columbia pulled in third in both the second and third varsity races with Princeton claiming wins in both.

On Saturday, April 15, the Lions head to the Housatonic River where they will get a second crack at Penn and hosts Yale for the Blackwell Cup.
