At Catlin Gabel: Slusher arrives in Morningside Heights after earning 11 varsity letters across three sports, with four in soccer, three in track and another four in cross-country. The center-midfielder garnered Second Team All-State honors as a freshman and went on to be named First Team All-State in each of the following three years. As well as being her team's MVP four years running, Slusher was voted the Class 3A State Player of the Year and Class 3A League Player of the Year during her senior season after being the runner-up for three-consecutive seasons. Sam helped lead her team to the NPL National Championship in 2013 and OPL State Cup Championships from 2011-15. She is a four-time leading scorer and assists leader for Catlin Gabel after tallying a career-total of 60 goals and 65 assists. A National Merit Commended Scholar, Slusher also displayed excellence in the classroom. She comes from a lineage of Ivy Leaguers--her mom is a Brown alumnus and her father is a former football player at Dartmouth.
