NEW YORK -- Columbia's Krystin Wong hit a home run in the bottom of the fifth to tie the ballgame at 1-1, but Harvard (15-12, 8-4 Ivy League) hit two home runs of its own as the Lions (13-16, 6-6 Ivy League) dropped the final game of their series Saturday.
Erin Gallo pitched four scoreless innings with one strikeout and no earned runs. Harvard went up 1-0 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly RBI to center field by
Kyrstin Wong got the Lions on the board in the bottom of the fifth and tied the score at 1-1 with her home run to centerfield, but that would be the only offense the Lions produced today.
Harvard's Erin Lockhart led off the sixth inning with a home run off of Madison Canby. After a single by Olivia Giaquinto, Columbia's Maura Lynch came into pitch for Canby. Lynch gave up a double to Lindey
Taylor Troutt reached base on a walk in the bottom of the sixth, but Max Ortega and Alexandra Yule both flew out to end the inning.
