NEW YORK -- Columbia's Krystin Wong hit a home run in the bottom of the fifth to tie the ballgame at 1-1, but Harvard (15-12, 8-4 Ivy League) hit two home runs of its own as the Lions (13-16, 6-6 Ivy League) dropped the final game of their series Saturday.

Erin Gallo pitched four scoreless innings with one strikeout and no earned runs. Harvard went up 1-0 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly RBI to center field by Kaityln Schiffhauer. Isabelle Haugh, who was pinch running for Lindey Kneib, came around to score. The run was unearned as Haugh advanced to third on an error.

Kyrstin Wong got the Lions on the board in the bottom of the fifth and tied the score at 1-1 with her home run to centerfield, but that would be the only offense the Lions produced today.

Harvard's Erin Lockhart led off the sixth inning with a home run off of Madison Canby. After a single by Olivia Giaquinto, Columbia's Maura Lynch came into pitch for Canby. Lynch gave up a double to Lindey Kneib, but caught a bunt from Sarah Smith then gunned down Giaquinto at third base to produce an inning-ending double play.

Taylor Troutt reached base on a walk in the bottom of the sixth, but Max Ortega and Alexandra Yule both flew out to end the inning.

In the top of the seventh inning, Harvard's Rihanna Rich hit the second home run of the day for the Crimson off of Lynch to extend the lead to 3-1. The Lions went down in order in bottom of the seventh to end the ball game.
