A former captain on the Columbia University men's soccer team, Scott Waddell '07CC joined the Columbia women's soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2010. Waddell will help head coach Tracey Bartholomew and assistant coach Amphone Keovongmanysa in all aspects of the program.
Waddell is a former Jamaican U-16 national team pool player, and was selected to the Connecticut State Prep All-State Team at The Hotchkiss School as a senior. Waddell began his Columbia career in 2003 and made an immediate impact, as he was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice during his first season and scored four goals on the year to place 10th in the Ivy League. For his career, Waddell tallied six goals and registered an assist in 62 matches.
Since concluding his four-year playing career for the Lions, Waddell has played professionally both in the United States and abroad, has coached at NYC Soccer Academy and served as head coach for the Elmont Rush girl's soccer club. In addition, Waddell has most recently worked with NIKE Mobile Soccer as an event manager.
Waddell graduated from Columbia College with a degree in economics.
