VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Columbia field hockey assistant coach Samantha Carr has been hard at work this summer.  In addition to her recruiting duties for the Lions, Carr has been involved with the USA Junior High Performance Team, working specifically with the New England team as an assistant coach.

"Working with the USA Jr. New England high performance team throughout the spring and during the tournament is a testament to Sam's passion to be involved with USA field hockey," said head coach Marybeth Freeman.  "She is working with a fantastic group of athletes and coaches, and her desire to continue her professional development by working with the high performance program is excellent."

This past week, the Junior High Performance training came to an end at the annual National Championship in Virginia Beach, Va. The action-packed tournament began on Saturday, June 18 and concluded on Saturday, June 25.
