NEW YORK - Kacie Johnson posted a hat trick and two assists to lead the Columbia lacrosse team despite a 16-7 loss to Villanova on Wednesday, March 13. After being held to two goals in the first half, the Lions found their offense late with five scores in the second half.

Villanova's Jackie Froccaro had a five-point night scoring five goals in the first half while Maria Bowman and Jessica Mucci also tallied five-point games. The Lions saw offense from Katie Angulo, who scored two goals, and both Sarah Greenberg and Kate Murphy each added a score.

Angulo found the back of the net off the assist from Johnson in the closing seconds of the half to trim the Villanova lead to 9-2 at the break.
