NEW YORK – The Columbia baseball team returns home to New York City to kick off its 2013 home slate with a double header against NYIT on Friday, March 22 at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. The first pitch of game one was originally slated for noon but has now been changed to 1 p.m. with the second game of the day to follow shortly after.
The Lions (2-11) recently wrapped up its 2013 spring break trip in Florida, going 1-6 on the week with a 5-4 win over UCF on March 16.
The last time the Lions faced NYIT was back on April 6, 2005. NYIT scored five runs in the third and five runs in the fifth en route to a 12-2 victory over Columbia in Old Westbury, N.Y.
