NEW YORK – Head women’s soccer coach Tracey Bartholomew has announced a 17-game schedule for her inaugural 2014 season at the helm, highlighted by eight home matches at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
The Lions boast a northeast heavy slate hosting Sacred Heart to open the season on Friday, Sep. 5. Columbia will play six of its first eight games at home, including Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, Sep. 9, Citadel on Friday, Sep. 12, Albany on Friday, Sep. 19, Manhattan on Sunday, Sep. 21 and Cornell on Friday, Sep. 26 to jump into Ivy League play.
Local road matches between non-conference opponents Fordham (Sep. 28) and NJIT (Oct. 12) will be sprinkled into the Ivy League slate for the Lions. Columbia will also host Ancient Eight opponents Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Dartmouth for senior night on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The Lions will finish the regular season with three consecutive road games at Lafayette (Oct. 28), Yale (Nov. 1) and Harvard (Nov. 8).
