|Position:||Associate Athletics Director for Compliance|
Kevin Burton has been named Columbia University’s Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, Director of Athletics Peter Pilling announced on July 27, 2016. Burton has spent the past two years with Columbia Athletics as its Assistant Director of Compliance (2015) and Compliance Coordinator (2014).
“Kevin has done outstanding work on behalf of our student-athletes and athletics staff and I am grateful for his continued contributions to our success,” Pilling said.
Burton arrived at Columbia in August, 2014 after practicing law at several New York law firms. He owns several years of civil litigation experience. In addition to his legal background, Burton is the co-founder of Infinite Athletics, LLC, a New York City based youth basketball organization. With Infinite Athletics, he was responsible for the daily administration, financial oversight and overall management of the sports start-up.

It is a privilege to work alongside such an exceptional group of administrators, coaches and student-athletes.”
Burton graduated from Boston University in 2006, where he was a member of the basketball team. In addition to earning his juris doctorate from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in 2010, Burton earned a graduate certificate in Sports Business from NYU’s Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media and Business.
