Kevin Burton begins his second year as Columbia University’s Associate Athletics Director for Compliance. Prior to his promotion to his current post on July 27, 2016, Burton spent the previous two years as Columbia’s Assistant Director of Compliance (2015) and Compliance Coordinator (2014).
Burton arrived at Columbia in August, 2014 after practicing law at several New York law firms. He owns several years of civil litigation experience. In addition to his legal background, Burton is the co-founder of Infinite Athletics, LLC, a New York City based youth basketball organization. With Infinite Athletics, he was responsible for the daily administration, financial oversight and overall management of the sports start-up.

It is a privilege to work alongside such an exceptional group of administrators, coaches and student-athletes.”
Burton graduated from Boston University in 2006, where he was a member of the basketball team.
In addition to earning his juris doctorate from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in 2010, Burton earned a graduate certificate in Sports Business from New York University’s Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media and Business.
