Rhea Barghash joined the Columbia coaching staff in the summer of 2016. Barghash arrives to Columbia after a four-year career as a midfielder and defender at Villanova (2012-2015). During the spring, she was voted as a captain for her senior season by her teammates. As a Wildcat, she made 27 starts in 44 games totaling 2,523 minutes on the pitch during her career. Along with being a member of the Wildcats for all four years, Barghash served as a contributing coach during Villanova's various soccer camps and clinics.
She graduated from Villanova University in May of 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Communication and minor in Economics. As a student-athlete, she was named to the Big-East All Academic Team every year. In the Spring of 2016, she interned with the Villanova Marketing Department within Athletics, assisting in digital marketing and strategic planning efforts on social media accounts for men and women’s basketball and lacrosse.
