Daniel Sokolovsky joined Jim Engles’ staff as graduate manager prior to the 2016-17 season. In his role, he will he coordinated all film exchange between the team and opponents and assist the director of basketball operations with daily needs.
Sokolovsky spent the past year at the Commonwealth Academy in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he served as assistant basketball coach and head strength and conditioning coach. He assisted the head basketball coach in daily practice planning, skills instruction and facility maintenance.
Prior to that, he gained experience as a coach at the Five-Star Basketball Camp during the summer of 2015 and was a basketball operations intern with the Brooklyn Nets in from May-August of 2014. With the Nets, he assisted in creating player database in preparation for player evaluation, coordinated individual player workouts with assistant Coaches and trainers and gained exposure in daily team functions.
Sokolovsky was a four-year member of the varsity basketball team, spending his senior year as a captain, at Hunter College, earning a degree in Statistics in 2015.
