A Manalapan, N.J. native, Daniel Mularz was named a Development Officer for Columbia University Athletics Development in July 2016 after two years at the Office of Alumni & Development for Columbia College.
In his current role, Dan is responsible for helping to manage the annual fund of Columbia Athletics and fostering donor relations for all 31 varsity athletics teams. Prior to joining Columbia Athletics, Mularz worked at Columbia College and helped to increase annual giving of undergraduates and young alumni.
Mularz is a 2012 Bucknell University graduate, where he was a decorated performer on the cross country and track and field teams for the Bison. He earned bachelor’s degrees in both Neuroscience and Psychology in 2012 and later went on to earn a master’s degree in Psychology at American University in 2013. His sports psychology research consisted of studying pre-game rituals and personality constructs of athletes.
A four-year letterwinner at Bucknell, Mularz was a standout sprinter and hurdler for the men's varsity track and field team, which captured a Patriot League indoor title in 2012 and three consecutive outdoor titles from 201-11.
