Chris Smith begins his third year as Assistant Director of Facility Operations at Columbia University.

 

Prior to arriving in Morningside Heights, Smith worked nearly three years as an event manager at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn.’s Harbor Yard. Among his many duties included event planning and supervision of all events and over 70 event personnel.

 

Smith also served as an assistant baseball coach at both the University of Rhode Island (2011-12) and his alma mater, the University of New Haven (2010-11).

 

Smith is a 2009 graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in Management of Sports Industries. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from New Haven in 2011.
