|Position:||Volunteer Assistant Coach|
Haig Schneiderman '12CC has been welcomed back to Columbia as a Volunteer Assistant with the men's tennis program for the 2017-18 season.
A former Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Schneiderman graduated from Columbia in 2012 with a degree in economics.
"Howard and I are very excited to have Haig Schneiderman join us as volunteer assistant," said the Columbia Tennis Coaches and Friends Head Coach of Men's Tennis Bid Goswami. "Haig was one of our best players and a great captain and leader. He has a lot to do with the culture of our team the last few years. We will miss Quentin Monaghan, who did a terrific job last spring. He took a Real estate job in the city and we wish him well."
An All-Ivy League singles selection in 2010-12, Schneiderman also excelled in doubles play during his final season as a Lion. Alongside Winston Lin, the pair went 10-4 in doubles play, helping the Lions to an 18-5 overall record before advancing to the NCAA Tournament. He played primarily in the No. 1 singles spot throughout his junior year, and rotated through the top two spots during his senior season.
