Menís Golf in Ninth After 18 Holes at the Macdonald Cup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Columbia men's golf team completed the first round of The Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale Saturday, shooting a 289, good for ninth.

Brandon Jowers leads the way for Columbia. The sophomore carded a 71 which ties him for 19th. Harrison Shih and Ford Fischer are tied for 27th after each shot an opening round 72.

Jordan Lee and Michael Yiu each posted a 74 in their opening round and stand in a tie for 49th.

Columbia is just one stroke back of Temple and two from St. Edward's. Central Connecticut leads after the first round, shooting a collective 279 to open the Macdonald Cup.
