Women's Tennis Keeps Winning at Northeast Regional

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Action continued at the 2012 Women's ITA Northeast Regional Saturday with Columbia winning a pair of singles matches and advancing a doubles pair onto the quarterfinals.

Nicole Bartnik won her first singles match of the tournament in the round of 64, defeating FDU's Egzona Morina, 6-3, 6-1. Qualifier Ioana Alecsiu continued to win, topping St. Bonaventure's Fatya Amiri, 6-2, 6-1.

The doubles tandem of Bianca Sanon and Tiana Takenaga reached the quarterfinals with an 8-3 win over Stony Brook's Movchan and Shtikind.
