Barbour Named College Sports Madness Ivy League Player of the Week
NEW YORK - Senior Brian Barbour was named College Sports Madness Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, January 7 after helping the Columbia men's basketball team post a 2-0 record.
Barbour posted 15 points, six assists, and three steals in the Lions' victory over Colgate on Jan. 2. Against Army on Jan. 5, the Alamo, Calif., product helped Columbia erase a five-point halftime defict and earn its third-straight win with 11 points. For the week, Barbour averaged 13.0 points and 4.5 assists.
The Lions return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Holy Cross to wrap up non-conference play. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
