Ivy League Championship Central
NEW YORK - The Columbia fencing teams will travel to Cambridge, Mass. this weekend for the 2013 Ivy League Championships, hosted by Harvard. Columbia will be seeking its 42nd Ivy League championship title.
The tournament set for March 2-3 at Harvard's Albert H. Gordon Track after it was rescheduled due to the inclement weather conditions from Winter Storm Nemo.
Part I will kick off with four rounds on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. with Columbia facing Brown. Penn will first take on Yale, while Princeton is set to battle Cornell in women's action.
Three more rounds will take place on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Columbia will battle Princeton to start the day.

Ranked among the best in the nation, the Columbia women sit at No. 3 in the latest CollegeFencing360.com Coaches Poll, while the men check in at No. 6.
The last time the women matched a No. 3 ranking was during the 2008 season, marking the last time the Lions fenced their way to the Ivy League crown.
Both the men and women took two of three in their last tournament at the NYU Historical Meet. Columbia fell to Sacred Heart of Connecticut in the opening round of the night by 15-12 scores. However, the Lion fencers fought back, sweeping both Vassar and the host NYU Violets.
Earlier this season, both teams went a perfect 5-0 at the NYU Invitational against top-10 ranked competition. At the Penn State Invitational, the Lions won nine of a possible 10 dual matches, as the women's team won all five contests, and the men won four of five.
