Cameron Nizialek

Position: K/P
Height: 6-2
Weight: 195
Hometown: Chantilly, Virginia
High School/Previous School: Freedom High School

Coach Mangurian on Nizialek: Early decision. Came to Columbia football camp. Very mature and disciplined young man. Big legs, can and does put the ball in the end zone on kick-offs. Effective as a punter and could add valuable depth as a freshman. It is all about consistency at this position. Will compete in training camp. The night before I made a campus visit to Cameron’s school, he took the last shot to win a basketball game. That’s what we are looking for.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Freedom High School in South Riding, Va. ... Played for head coach Michael Mullins … 2011 and 2012 all-district kicker and punter … 2012 All-Region Kicker and Punter … 2012 Honorable Mention All-MET … Also lettered in soccer and basketball.

PERSONAL: Parents are Tanya and Jason Nizialek ... Has a younger sibling, Carson (14).

FUN FACT: Nizialek was a 3-season captain his Senior year, leading his Football, Basketball and Soccer teams at Freedom H.S.

WHY COLUMBIA? “Academics, football and NYC.”
