CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The summer baseball honors continue to pour in for Columbia players as sophomore pitcher Thomas Crispi was recently recognized as one of the top 30 prospects of the Futures League.

The Needham, Mass. native was selected as the No. 23 prospect of the Futures League, and the second-highest ranked left-handed pitcher.

One of the top pitchers for the North Shore Navigators, Crispi posted a 2.07 ERA over 39 innings of work this summer. He finished the year third on the team with 41 strikeouts, while also recording one save.

As a first-year for Columbia in 2013, Crispi totaled 21.1 innings on the bump in 16 appearances. He tallied 16 strikeouts along the way and a 3.38 ERA.
