NEW YORK – The Columbia men’s golf team will compete in its final tune-up before the Ivy League Championships, heading to Raleigh, N.C. for the Wolfpack Spring Open this weekend.

Lonnie Poole Golf Course, N.C. State’s home venue, will serve as the host for the two-day, 36-hole event. The first group will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday for the first round, with the final round to conclude on Sunday. Lonnie Poole is a par-72, 7,358-yard course.

The 14-team field includes: Clemson, Columbia, Duke, Francis Marion, George Mason, Loyola, NC State, Princeton, St. John’s, Temple, UNC-Wilmington, Valparaiso, Virginia and Wake Forest.

The Lions have posted two straight top-five finishes, winning the team title at the Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday, April 1. Harrison Shih and Brandon Jowers each notched top-five individual finishes at White Manor Country Club, tying for third and fifth, respectively.

Shih once again led the Lions at the Princeton Invitational, placing 17th. Senior Andrew Kim and Jowers also finished in the top-25, as Columbia captured fourth as team.

At last year’s Wolfpack Spring Open, Columbia took eighth place with Jowers finishing tied for eighth as an individual.
