PRINCETON, N.J. - Good news keeps rolling in for the No. 40 women’s tennis team. After learning they had received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships on Tuesday night, four Lions earned All-Ivy League honors on Wednesday, April 30, as announced by the conference office.

Sophomore Kanika Vaidya was unanimously named to the first team All-Ivy League singles team after holding down the No. 1 slot for the Lions most of the year. A second-team selection as a first-year, Vaidya played to an 11-6 dual record this season with a 4-3 mark against the Ancient Eight. Overall, she won 21 matches, the third highest total on the team. 

Vaidya also unanimously earned first team doubles team honors with  partner Bianca Sanon, for the second year in a row. Vaidya and Sanon have teamed up to earned the No. 22 ranking with a 14-3 record in dual matches and a 28-6 mark overall. Against ranked opponents since the fall, the duo is 6-6, while posting a 3-4 mark against top-25 foes. In conference matches, the pair went 6-1.

Sanon and teammate Tina Jiang earned spots on the second team All-Ivy League singles teams. Jiang had a perfect year, going 7-0 in conference play and 17-0 in all dual matches, playing as the No. 2 and 3. Sanon bounced between the No. 1, 2 and 3 spots throughout the year, posting an 11-3 dual match record and a 4-2 mark against the Ancient Eight.

Jiang, with teammate Crystal Leung, were recognized with second team All-Ivy League doubles team honors. The duo, holding down the No. 2 slot, went undefeated in dual season play at 15-0 and 6-0 against Ivy League opponents. This is the second year that Leung has been named to the second All-Ivy doubles team.
