LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Columbia softball first-year Alyssa Rodia was honored as a third team All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday afternoon. Rodia becomes the first Lion to earn All-Region accolade since Jackie Adelfio ’06CC made the second team in 2003.
Additionally, Rodia is just the third overall player to receive NFCA All-Region status, joining Allison Buehler ’03CC, who made the second team in both 2001 and 2002.
The second team All-Ivy League member batted .331 and led the team with six homers, the most for any first-year in program history, 25 RBI, 31 runs scored and a .554 slugging percentage. Rodia was named Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Week on Apr. 22 and boasted a .994 fielding percentage, playing in all 44 games at first base.
