DALLAS – The three-time defending Ivy League Champion Columbia baseball team is receiving votes in the 2016 preseason National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.
The Lions bring back seven players that have earned All-Ivy League honors and will be bolstered by the return of three weekend starting pitchers George Thanopolous, Kevin Roy and Adam Cline. Columbia also has six starting positional players coming back.
Senior outfielder Robb Paller will enter the year riding a 36-game on-base streak and the Lions boast the last two Ivy League Rookie of the Year recipients in junior infielder Will Savage and sophomore infielder Randell Kanemaru.
Columbia begins the 2016 campaign at Jacksonville for a four-game series beginning on March 4.
