NEW YORK—Nine Columbia fencers were in action this weekend at various competitions around the world.
In sabre competition, freshman Andrew Doddo won the Bronze Medal at the Dormagen Junior World Cup in Germany, while sophomore Calvin Liang placed 20th overall in the same competition.
Columbia also had seven current student-athletes and two former fencers compete at the Division I North American Cup foil competition this weekend. Columbia continued its dominance in the women’s foil as senior Margaret Lu took second place, sophomore Iman Blow and graduate Jackie Dubrovich CC’16 tied for third place and sophomore Quinn Crum finished in eighth place.
On the men’s side, graduate Adam Mathieu CC’16 finished in sixth place.
