Penn Relays Home | Watch (Saturday, NBCSN) | Yale Springtime Invite Schedule

NEW YORK - With a week left until the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Columbia gears up by taking part in both the 123rd Penn Relays and Sunday's Yale Springtime Invitational.

The Columbia women are scheduled to get under way at Penn on Thursday, with the 4x100m relay and the distance medley taking the stage. The men team have one entry on the first day, as Dylan Tarpey is entered in the 5,000m run.

Both squads are hopeful for repeat performances in the 4x800m relays from a season ago, when both the men and women were able to break school records in the process. On Saturday, the men return last year's school record squad in Josiah Langstaff, Sam Ritz, Alek Sauer and Robert Napolitano, who were able to clock a 7:20.41 for runner-up status in the race and an edge of the 7:20.53 of the 2012 school record.

The women return three of four school record holders in the same event, as Brittney Wade, Libby Kokes, Olivia Sadler and Sarah Hardie finished fifth in 8:34.23 last year for the third fastest time in Ivy League history.

The Saturday portion of the meet can be seen live on NBCSN and live on

Athletes that do not plan on attending the Penn Relays will travel to Yale for the meet that gets under way at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
