Harrisonburg, Va. – The dominance of the Eastern Regional Outdoor Collegiate Championships (EROCC) continued for Columbia archery as this year's team defeated the field for its third consecutive crown in both the recurve and compound divisions.

Sophia Strachan continues a sensational rookie campaign with an individual gold medal finish in the compound to lead the Lions, finishing ahead of teammate Judy Zhou who came away with silver. Medaling in the recurve was Bianca Gotuaco with silver, followed by Jenny Han with the bronze.

The Lions also placed seven archers on the 2017 All-East Team, including Strachan, Zhou, Elizabeth Gunawan in the compound and Christine Kim, Joy Chang, Aileen Yu and Gotuaco in the recurve. The All-East team is decided by an archer's combined score from the indoor and outdoor regional competitions.

Up next, the Lions will head to the National Outdoor Collegiate Championships on Thursday, May 18 – Sunday, May 21 in Chula Vista, California.
