Bethlehem, Pa. — After a one week break from competition, cross country returns to the track for its first meets away from Van Cortlandt Park this season.
First up, the Lions will head to Lehigh University in Pennsylvania for the 44th annual Paul Short Run on Friday, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The men's and women's teams will both compete in the Brown division race.
On Saturday, the other half of the team will compete in the Sam Bell Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana beginning at 10 a.m. The women will run a 6k course and then men will run an 8k at Indiana University's Championship Cross Country course.

Last season, the men's team finished 5th and the women's team finished 16th in the 45-team race in Bethlehem.

LAST TIME OUT
Last time Columbia took the course on September 15 for the Iona Meet of Champions, Ryan Thomas paced the men's squad to a first place team finish with a first place individual finish in the 8k race at 25:31.7. Thomas earned NCAA Cross Country National Athlete of the Week for his performance.
On the women's side, Columbia finished second overall and first for Division I. First-year Serena Tripodi registered a fourth place finish for the Lions to lead the pack at 18:45.1 in the 5k course.
