NEW YORK — The Columbia women’s basketball team will make eight home appearances on SportsNet NY (SNY) as part of the agreement finalized with the network and Columbia Athletics in September. The entire 2017-18 schedule with all TV listings can be accessed here.

Additionally, the Lions will make four appearances on ESPN3, three on CBS Sports Digital and one on NESNplus. Each home game and the full Ivy League regular season slate will also be available via the Ivy League Network.

“The exposure SNY and the different media outlets give us this season will be great for our program,” said Columbia head coach Megan Griffith. “More people will have access to see what we’re building here at Columbia. It also gives us the chance to play on a bigger stage and showcase our student-athletes."

Columbia’s first SNY appearance comes Wednesday, November 29, for an 11 a.m. tipoff against Boston College. Levien Gymnasium will host area third through fifth graders that day for Columbia’s 10th annual Education Day game. Last season’s game brought in a program-record attendance of 2,271.

The Lions make one other SNY appearance during the non-conference schedule when they host Hofstra on Monday, December 11, at 7 p.m. Six of the seven home Ivy League games will be on SNY, including live broadcasts of games against Dartmouth (March 2) and Harvard (March 3). The network will air tape-delayed broadcasts of home games against Cornell (Jan. 20), Yale (Feb. 9), Penn (Feb. 16) and Princeton (Feb. 17). The tape-delay schedule will be available at a later date.

Columbia will make four road appearances on ESPN3. Those games are against UMass Lowell (Nov. 15), Vermont (Nov. 19), UMBC (Dec. 3) and Brown (Feb. 23). The Lions will also appear on CBS Sports Digital for all three games of the Cancun Challenge (Nov. 23-25), when they go up against national runner-up Mississippi State, Green Bay and Arizona State. Fans will be given on-the-go access to all of the games streamed on CBS Sports Digital via cbssports.com or the CBS Sports mobile application. Additionally, Columbia’s game at Harvard on Feb. 2 will air on NESNplus.

With a total distribution of nearly 12 million homes, SNY is available to viewers throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Northeastern Pennsylvania for a regional reach of 8.0 million households. Combined with national coverage on DIRECTV, Verizon FiOS, Comcast Cable and AT&T U-Verse, SNY’s total distribution is 12 million homes. SNY is the official television home of the New York Mets, New York Jets and all things New York sports. As New York’s leader in local sports TV coverage, SNY delivers the most comprehensive access to all of the Tri-State area’s professional and collegiate sports teams through several nightly sports and entertainment programs.
