Washington, D.C. — Four members of the Columbia women’s squash team will ride to the nation’s capital this weekend to participate in CSA Individual Championships.
Tanvi Khanna is back in the Ramsey Cup (A Division) for the third consecutive season and will look to finish off her college squash career on a high note. The three-time All-Ivy selection and two-time All-American went 8-5 this season in the No. 1 position for the Lions.
Junior Maddie O’Connor, sophomore Jui Kalgutkar and senior Addie Fulton will participate in Holleran East B draw this weekend. O’Connor is the number 1 seed in the division. If O'Connor and Kalgutkar each wins their first match, they will play each other in the quarter finals. Fulton would not meet either of them until the finals.
Last season, O’Connor finished as the runner-up in the same Holleran East draw at CSA Individual Championships.
The Toronto native went 8-4 this season in the No. 2 slot for the Lions, including a 2-1 performance at CSA Team Championships two weekends ago.
Kalgutkar is also back at CSA Individual Championships after making it to the semi-finals in the Holleran North draw last season. The Mumbai native was 7-6 this season in the No. 4 position for the Lions.
This is Addie Fulton's first time competing at CSA Individual Championships. The senior was 8-6 in the regular season, primarily playing in the No. 7 and 8 slots, and 2-1 at team championships.
