Piscataway, N.J. – Columbia senior diver Jayden Pantel capped his final NCAA Division I Zone ‘A’ Diving Regional Championships on Wednesday, March 7 with a remarkable final that propelled a fifth-place finish in the platform dive. With a combined tally of 653.45 points, Pantel becomes the first diver in program history to qualify for four-consecutive NCAA Championships.

Pantel has now also qualified in the three-meter dive, behind a sixth-place performance on Tuesday that placed him in the top 12. He will join Jonathan Suckow who previously earned spots in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. For the first time in program history, Columbia has qualified two divers for the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships will be held on Wednesday, March 21- Saturday, March 24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
