NEW YORK, N.Y. – Columbia Football's strength and conditioning progress will be on display as it hosts the eighth annual Jacked 4 Jaclyn Lift-a-thon this Sunday, April 29th from 1-3 p.m. in the Blue Gym at the Dodge Fitness Center.
Weights of either 225 lbs or 185 lbs will be used depending on the size of the participant, and the goal is to do as many repetitions as possible.
For the second consecutive year, the Football team is teaming up with Columbia Women's Soccer as co-hosts of the event.
All proceeds from the lift-a-thon will benefit The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. Formed in 2005, The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families.
In its first year as a member and supporter of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, Columbia Football adopted Stuart MacNaughton, age 3, as an official member of the football family. Stuart is a source of constant inspiration and strength for the team and is still connected with it.
Before Sunday, both teams are looking for sponsors to support them and raise as much money as possible for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.
